~High Hopes~ A slight return 2011
Posted on Apr 24, 2011 at 11:23 PM
Its been quite a while since our last blog post. We've been wood shedding this winter preparing for the 2011 season, which is now upon us. We'll be playing around New England this summer and venturing to NYC for a few shows. Stay tuned for more information on dates.
The EP sessions that were started last year will be added to, to complete a full album later this year. We've had MANY inquiries about an album, so the time is at hand. We'll be pre-releasing it soon, so reserve your copy when the time comes.
As always, may Jah Love & Guide you through your days & nights,
~J

High Hopes Band moves Copperfield's

Despite headliner Castafari canceling his segment due to illness, the High Hopes Band delivered high octane reggae vibes for Copperfield's patrons.
High Hopes kicked off the show with Jahsun Joseph's rendition of the Dennis Brown & John Holt classic "Lover's Paradise". I Rico swooned the crowd with some lover's rhythms, bringing the true vibe of Jamaica to show. Father O Jinga carried the show with his crowd favorite "Hafi Do". High Hopes was lucky to have fellow musician/artist Tony Davies in the house to jump-up and drop-in a massive roots tune. JAHriffe, of JAH-N-I (a High Hopes Recording Artist) brought the show to a mystical vibe with his original songs about Africa and Rastafari. The evening ended with reggae superstar Zion (Iron Lion) gracing the stage and stirring up a frenzy. The crowd pulled up his tunes and were asking for more of his hit song "Stranger in Your Life", soon to be released on Yabba Pot Music.
Massive, don't sleep on the High Hopes Band!
Next show is Feb 22 at McGann's in Boston.
